You’ve seen a lot of progress in the last weeks here…We started with the office’s original state, moved on to a floor-less space, and most recently showed you the newly-painted space and its kitchen floor. Today, we’re proudly presenting an almost-finished space, complete with a new carpet and fresh (albeit temporary) furniture. Let’s start with the most obvious change: our new carpet. Instead of going for a boring monochrome design, we chose a striped, grey&black carpet for the whole space. It works really well and gives the room a special feel.
Since we’re not too fond of sitting on the floor while working, we had to get furniture. So we took a trip to IKEA to buy tables, chairs and smaller things for the kitchen (for example wine glasses). After that trip, we put our DIY pants on:
Shortly after the DIY ordeal, we promptly inaugurated said new wine glasses:
Then, the kitchen was going to be built…But that only happened up to a certain point, since IKEA forgot to deliver the cabinets’ legs.
And, due to popular demand (well, Ben asked for it), here’s our view:
So what’s missing?
Well, the furniture that we built and are using right now is but a temporary solution. Unfortunately, there’s a delay in the delivery of our “real” office furniture. It’ll probably arrive in about two months time. Further, we finally got the city permit to build the glass-walled conference room, so that’ll be up soon. And just this morning, we received the missing kitchen pieces, so it will be finalized next week!
Until then, here’s the Miami office team both working and playing in almost-finished office. If you’d like to be part of our team, apply here!
Since we still have a lot of space because of the missing conference room, we set up a mini-mini golf course:
Here’s Greg’s hole-in-one…We won’t tell how many attempts it took to get there (hint: many).
